I bought a set of mini bottles of different Elizabeth Arden fragrances because it is really hard for me to resist mini fragrance bottles, even if I know nothing about the fragrances, themselves. This is a bit more floral than I typically prefer to wear, but I like it more than Red Door. There is a LOT going on with this fragrance. Most of the top notes are florals (linden blossom, lily of the valley, lilac, magnolia, jasmine, etc.). I am picking out the jasmine most on my skin, though of course everyone's body chemistry is a little different. And it is not JUST jasmine but, rather, a blend that includes jasmine as a prominent part. There are more florals in the mid-notes (rose, carnation, violet, tuberose, and iris). I think it is the base notes that make this work for me -- musk, sandalwood, nutmeg, vanilla, amber, and cloves. I simply adore spicy, woody fragrances and so as the day goes on and the top notes and mid notes wear off, this becomes more and more of the type of fragrance I seek out. The base notes really work well with the florals as time goes on. This has what I would call a medium level of sillage and longevity. I can smell it a few hours after applying without holding my wrist right to my nose, but I'm not getting comments on it from people across the hallway, either (which happens with high sillage fragrances). This lasts about half a day without reapplication, which is not so far off from similar fragrances. Please note that this is flammable so will have to travel via ground and also may not be returnable. Also please investigate carefully and read feedback before purchase as large bottles of designer fragrance are sometimes counterfeited. If you like florals that are a bit more complex, or really enjoy spicy, woody fragrances but want to branch out into florals, this is a good starting point.
I was very pleased to find a high quality brand such as Elizabeth Arden at an affordable price and in 150cl size bottle. The 5th Avenue Eau de Parfum Spray has a light but delightful scent which has been remarked upon by friends when I am wearing it - which I do every day!!
Package arrived in good time. Bought it for gift to family back in Fiji. Great quality and very soothing, nice, long lasting aroma. Tested it and recommended to buyers to try.
