Escada

Founded by Wolfgang and Margarethe Ley in Munich in 1976, Escada is famous for its fresh new ideas that incorporate classic design elements. A subsidiery company was created in Paris in 1990 and the first fragrance Escada Margaretha Lay was launched. Today there are over 10 fragrances and it also has limited edition fragrances that are launched each year to coordinate with Escada’s couture collections. Escada also began a range of limited edition yearly summer fragrances in 1993, beginning with Chiffon Sorbet in 1993. Michael Stolzenburg is the current design head credited with bringing a new youthful, creative approach to the business.
