La Perla

Believe it or not La Perla started as a little corsetry laboratory in Bologna, Italy in 1954 and is now a world leader in lingerie and swimwear. Founder Ada Massoti made exquisite handmade lace and embroidered lingerie for wealthy clients and this is still one of La Perla’s specialties. Masotti’s motto was ‘never compromise on quality and innovation’ and some of the company’s famous innovations include modern stretch fibres developed especially for the company and the creation of the first matching stretch lace sets. The La Perla signature fragrance was launched in 1987 and the range now includes Grigio, J'Aime La Nuit, Charme and Creation.
