Rive Gauche

One of all the all time classic perfumes, Rive Gauche was created in 1970 and quickly became a fragrance that epitomises the kind of chic, intellectual Parisian woman who has a bohemian touch. Inspired by the well groomed woman seen along the Left Bank of the River Seine in Paris where the Yves Saint Laurent boutique is situated. It has a combination of floral aldehydes and clear woody and aromatic accords. Pelargonium and rose soften the sharp opening while base notes of oakmoss, vetiver, musk and balsamic are sophisticated and warm. The result is a very French fragrance for women of all ages.
