Charles Frederick Worth, the Englishman known as the 'Father of Haute Couture', founded the House of Worth in Paris in 1858. Within 10 years he had become a highly influential and respected couturier with a royal and famous clientele. In combining the classic with innovation, Worth created the first luxury brand synonymous with fashion and style. The House was one of the first to extend its name to luxury perfume. Je Reviens, launched in 1932, remains the most famous and revered of Worth’s fragrances. The perfume evokes the romance and elegance of 1930s Paris and reached formidable acclaim during WWII when it became a favoured gift from soldiers to their sweethearts.
